Congratulations Class of 2019
As many of you are graduating, or have graduated, I'm starting to get the calls for Class of 2020. It's never too early to get on the fall calendar, since that is the busiest time of the year for us photographer's. I'm happy to help with location, outfit choices, any props from sports, etc.. you'd like to include.
I've been honored to photograph Tara, and both of her older sisters' Senior photos. We not only re-created ones I did almost 8 years ago, but also some new ones that fit perfectly with Tara's personality. We lucked out with gorgeous weather, & fall leaves. The sunset was just stunning. This is why we call it, the "golden hour" and why it's by far one of the most popular times to schedule a session. Tara, wishing you an amazing experience as you head to Arizona! College was the best four years of my life. Please, send some of that weather back home to Chicago with you!
Spring in Chicago. Well, this weekend alone we are having Summer, Spring and Fall weather. So when we did MerryBeth's (MB) maternity session, we lucked out with perfect Spring weather. I've been photographing MB & her family for years, and watching her family grow is simply amazing. Cannot wait to meet & photograph this family of three, Davis John who was just born this week.
Mike & MB are pure naturals in front of the camera. MB is a maternity fashionista. From a perfect fitting dress to show off her adorable baby bump, to the fashionable black hat. Mike, in the creative industry himself, suggested the Hubbard Street Mural Project in the photos. Needless to say we found a perfect Chicago Skyline, adorable animals, that could even be used in the nursery. Making our way back to their home, we stopped at this brick wall, where an amazing reflection from the stop sign, gave me an idea.... I wanted to create a shadow of MB's baby bump. After we got that WOW shot, we made our way back to their home & did a more relax setting of photos. Being pregnant it's wonderful to get all dressed up, since some days it feels like nothing fits anymore as your in your last trimester, but there is also something about when you get home, and put on your comfy clothes. I had asked MB & Mike, what is something you both do when you are home, together? This last image says it all, Mike rubs MB's feet in this position on the couch, daily. THIS! These are the moments you want to cherish & remember.
As busy season was coming to an end, one of my last sessions of 2018, was meeting sweet baby Giuliano. His mom owned one of my favorite gyms ever, MB Fitness & since has become a friend, not just a trainer. Watching you become a mother though, my favorite.
Newborn sessions, can go in so many directions. I always like to let the baby & family lead the way. Have all the different props I want to use, and also have all the personalized props out as well. From there, I let the session unfold.
December babies, Christmas decor is usually incorporated. This time, instead of incorporating a Christmas Tree, or Christmas lights, Mom & Dad had already made a personalized stocking and plaid pajamas. Which couldn't have been more perfect. Dogs are also apart of families, so big brother Gus was also included in photos, and gave kisses to his little brother.
It's been quite a while since I've written a blog post. I have lots of new updates & changes going on with Erin Stefanik Photography. First, I'll be changing how I publish "Sneak Peeks"/ "Previews" on Social Media. My Instagram, I try to update quite frequently, whether it's posts/stories, etc.. So be sure to follow me here.
90 degrees Chicago Summer day, Father's Day, handful of toddlers and one amazing family. Where do I even begin with the Pfieffer Pfamily? They have been my number 1 fans, since day one. Even photographed my first wedding in Jamaica for Kaila & Jim. Not to mention, all of their families yearly photos/family photos, children's milestones, you name it. I am beyond honored! And finally, a big thank you to the Pfief's for all the referrals sent my way. I truly cannot thank you all enough. Ok, now let's get to seeing this wonderful family & a few of my favorites!
2015 is one for the books! It's been an extremely busy year with lots of sessions & weddings & even two engagement proposals, and I wouldn't have it any other way. So wonderful to see so many families come back this year, and one in particular whose family I have been photographing for 5 years, and 3 kids later. It has been a blessing watching all my clients' continue to grow over the years', and cannot wait to see what 2016 has in store! As the New Year approaches, I want to take this time to thank each and every one of your for allowing me to photograph your families, milestones, events & at ast memories. I truly love what I do, YES, even during the busiest months of the year (September-December) when I want to lose my mind & not only stressed out with holiday's but with working around the clock to meet deadlines, at the end of the day, when I'm ediitng or creating an album, it's those moments that I forget how stressed I am.
2015 Weddings, was the biggest year I've ever had of Weddings with 17 in the books! Thank you all for trusting in me and allowing me to be apart of your day. Many of you have turned from clients' to friends and I cannot wait continue to photograph you for years to come! So many awesome vendors & venues I got to work with this year and looking forward to referring them as well! *Be on the look out during the next few months, as all these weddings will be blogged so you can see all the amazing details, venue & vendor information as well!
Finally, thank you to my two second shooters, Katie & Ron for all your amazing help this year. Ron photographed two weddings with me & Katie photographed 14! Katie has been my wedding other half this year, and we could even write a book on behind the scenes at weddings. :) Thank you very much Katie Hall Photography on all your hard work and looking foward to another full year of weddings in 2016! OUr October Wedding, Clark the Cub came in as a surprise from the bride to the groom, was a photo op even for the photographers, who are Cubs Fans!
